Vaccinations are not required for a visit to Bonaire.

Bonaire has a medical centre with, among other things, Dutch physicians and a hospital: Hospital San Francisco. The hospital on Bonaire cooperates with Dutch hospitals, so quality treatment can be expected. There are several specialties, an Emergency Room and qualified staff. The medical dispensary is open 24 hours a day.

Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba will receive 30 million Euros from Minister Klink of Public Health Care for improvement of the local health care. The money is assigned to renovation and new construction of hospitals and the acquisition of new medical equipment and ambulances. The islanders will also get collective health insurance, with coverage similar to the Dutch basic health package.
