Fortaleza

In 1649, this city is founded by the Dutch WIC as Fort Schoonenborch. Fortaleza had more than 1,5 million habitats.
With a tempepature of 29 degrees, it's summer all year.
The long cityboulevard is right after sunrise and sunset the domain of hikers and joggers.

You can enjoy the 6-kilometres long beach of Praia do Futuro every day. If you really want some action on the beach and in the water, you can go to the little village Cumbuco, which is best known of the kite and windsurfing.

And then the nightlife.
The best place to start your evening is Dragao do Mar (seadragon). A big cultural place where you can find bars, restaurants, live-music, cinema's and musea.

For those who really want to go out all night, you can go to one of the most famous clubs of Brazil: Mucuripe. This club has 5 different areas with different music styles: rock, samba, reggae, hiphop, blues.
