Curaçao is one of the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao) and has about 150,000 inhabitants.The island has an dynamic beach- and nightlife, which is one of the reasons it is a popular tourist destination.

The culture on Curaçao is comparable to the other Caribbean Islands, a mixture of Creole and Latin-American influences. The swinging Curaçao Mardi Gras is the most popular of the many national festivals.

Tips

Vaccinations are not necessary for visiting Curaçao.  You can do your shopping in one of the many supermarkets, drugstores  and other stores on the island. Prices are a bit lower than in the US.
